Calloway Heights Baptist Church has been privileged to serve our Lord for the last 59 years. Beginning with a meeting in the home of Mr. & Mrs. William Chandler on July 3, 1949, the church was accepted in the Raleigh Baptist Association of the West Virginia Baptist Convention and the Northern Baptist Convention on November 6, 1949. The church disaffiliated from the American Baptist Convention and West Virginia Baptist in 1992 and accepted affiliation with the Conservative Baptist Association of America. In June of 2002 the church hired it's first full time Youth and Children's Pastor to increase the ministry opportunities to our community's children and teens. Since groundbreaking services for our original church house on May 11, 1952 our facilities have grown to include almost a whole block of beautiful property on Rural Acres Drive, a parsonage, church bus and garage, parking for over 150 vehicles, a new sanctuary which houses 435 worshippers, and a remodeled fellowship hall/gym. In September 2009, Calloway Heights Baptist Church commemorated their 60th anniversary as a church. It was a wonderful time to look back at our God-blessed past, and a time to look forward to a God-directed future. We at Calloway Heights Baptist Church feel we have been truly blessed that our Lord has provided us with Godly Pastors and Leadership, a loving congregation and a wonderful facility in a prime location to reach out to help our community. The Congregation welcomes ALL who desire to worship with us, and as we are adopting a new slogan for our church, to Climb to New HEIGHTS in Jesus Christ!
